Owned by Jim Gilbert, Airko is a mid-size, Cleveland-based exterior firm that specializes in high quality, specialty exterior renovations. The company is currently a valued customr of the distribution division of Owens Corning and has an impressive array of successful projects in its portfolio. The company was responsible for all of the construction on the homes.
A family business since 1947, Airko was started by Gilbert's father as a general residential siding and windows construction firm. Jim joined his father in the business in the late 1960s after studying design for four years. In 1985, he and his brother took over the business from their father, gradually changing the company's focus to design.
Airko is an active participant in the Cleveland community. The company has been instrumental in developing community facilities in the Greater Cleveland area and works closely with the Cleveland Jaycees. Jim is also a member of the Cleveland Chamber of Commerce and the Cleveland Growth Association.

Dear Jim,
I am so pleased with the look of the new windows that were installed. The difference
is a huge improvement over the old pitted aluminum triple-tracks and ugly green,
"glazing-deficient" broken roped original double-hungs. The installation crew was terrific. They are good people, and very conscientious about laying drop cloths and cleaning up after themselves. Hopefully, they will return to do the installation of the doors and
windows for my kitchen, bathroom and sunroom project. It goes without saying that I
am eager to have the new siding in place as well, but that will be coordinated a bit
down the road, after the foundation, framing and sheathing, etc. is in place.
